5192 - Resale of firearms.

(a) Definitions. For the purpose of this Section, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings ascribed to them, as set forth hereinafter:

(1) "Secondhand Firearms" means any handgun, rifle, or shotgun which is acquired by a merchant by purchase or trade from a person other than a licensed manufacturer or wholesaler of firearms for the purpose of resale.

(2) "Merchant" means any person conducting a business in the City.

(b) Daily Reports to the Police Chief. Every merchant who acquires secondhand firearms for resale shall report, in writing, the acquisition thereof to the Police Chief, on forms provided by the Police Chief, by 12:00 P.M. of the next business day following the date of acquisition.
