3914.21 - Prohibition on release of lighter than air balloons.¶

(a) No person or group shall release, outdoors, balloons made of any material, including, without limitation, latex, mylar, rubber, nylon fabric, or any petroleum product, filled with a gas lighter than air, as part of a public or civic event, promotional activity, product advertisement, celebration, or party.

(b) This section shall be enforced pursuant to Article I, Chapter 2 of this Code.

(c) Exceptions: This section shall not apply to the operation of manned hot air balloons, or to balloons used in governmental or scientific research projects.
