3905 - Definitions.¶
For the purposes of this Chapter, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this Chapter.
"Area" means gated communities.
"Secured openings" means locked gates.
"Chief" means the Chief of Police serving the jurisdiction or the Chief of Police's authorized representative.

3906 - Key boxes—Access to secured areas.¶
When access to an area is unduly difficult because of secured openings and where immediate access is necessary for lifesaving purposes, or to investigate public offenses which have been committed, or to prevent and suppress any affrays, breaches of the peace, riots or insurrections, the Chief of Police is authorized to require a key box to be installed in an accessible location.

3907 - Key boxes—Type of box and key.¶
The Chief of Police shall designate the type of box and key that meets the Police Department's access needs.

3908 - Key boxes—Maintenance responsibility.¶
The residents of the area that requires a key box for Police Department access shall be responsible for installing the key box and maintaining the key box.
