Point Arena Municipal Code Art. IX Fees, Rate Schedules, Payment of Charges and Costs

All charges for general sewerage service and all other charges, fees, costs, or penalties imposed by this chapter will be collected directly by the city.

The city shall keep a permanent and accurate account of all fees and charges received under this chapter, giving the names and addresses of the persons on whose account the fees and charges were paid, the date and amount thereof, and the purpose for which charges were paid.

The city council shall make, and adopt concurrently with this chapter, its chapter prescribing charge for sewerage services, and facilities furnished and made available by the city (Chapter 13.0 PAMC).

(1) All fees and unpaid service charges imposed under the provisions of this chapter are due and payable upon receipt of the notice of charges. Unpaid charges shall become delinquent 30 days after mailing. A service charge may be imposed on delinquent accounts.

(2) Upon nonpayment of delinquent charges, the city may obtain a judgment for the delinquent amounts in the appropriate court. Any such judgment shall be recorded and shall become a lien on the property of the delinquent user.
