Sec. 6-1.301. - Licenses: Required.¶
Every person owning or operating a commercial dog kennel or hobby dog kennel in the County, and who does not individually license each dog in such kennel, shall obtain a kennel license as set forth in this article.

Sec. 6-1.302. - Licenses: Applications.¶
Applications for kennel licenses, or for the renewal thereof, shall be made to the licensing authority on forms provided by such licensing authority for such purpose.
The issuance of a special use permit shall be required as set forth in Section 9-4.413.1 of Article 4 of Chapter 4 of Title 9 of this Code.

Sec. 6-1.303. - Licenses: Applications: Amendments.¶
After the issuance of a kennel license, each dog reaching the age of four (4) months and each dog acquired who is over the age of four (4) months shall be added to the kennel license application within thirty (30) days after reaching the age of four (4) months or within thirty (30) days after being acquired, and a valid certificate of rabies vaccination shall be presented for each such addition.

Sec. 6-1.304. - Licenses: Applications: Amendments: Delinquencies: Penalties.¶
A penalty for failure to comply with the provisions of Section 6-1.303 of this article shall be the addition, upon the renewal of the license, of a late registration fee for each such dog not added to the kennel license application within thirty (30) days after reaching the age of four (4) months or being acquired.

Sec. 6-1.305. - Licenses: Due dates.¶
License fees for kennels shall be due and payable on or before January 1, 1994 for the period through August 31, 1994 and shall be in default if not paid before March 1, 1994. Effective September 1, 1994, the license fee for kennels shall be due and payable September 1 for the twelve-month period through August 31 and shall be in default if not paid before November 1 of each year.

Sec. 6-1.306. - Licenses: Fees.¶
The fees for kennel licenses shall be for four (4) dogs or more and may be established by resolution. Upon the payment of the prescribed kennel license fee, the licensing authority shall issue one tag to the licensee.

Sec. 6-1.307. - Licenses: Fees: Delinquencies: Penalties.¶
Kennel license fees shall be delinquent if not paid before March 1, 1994 and November 1 of each twelve-month period thereafter, and a delinquency penalty shall be charged on and after the delinquency date.

Sec. 6-1.308. - Confinement of dogs: Exceptions.¶
Owners or operators of kennels shall keep all dogs therein under proper confinement on the premises, except for showing dogs in recognized dog shows, field trials, obedience trials, working and hunting, or improving the variety. Any dog removed from the premises of a hobby dog kennel for such purposes shall have a kennel tag attached to its collar at all times.

Sec. 6-1.309. - Licenses: Tags.¶
Upon the payment of the prescribed fee, the licensing authority shall issue tags for each dog owned by the kennel operator.
