3-7-1: FLAMMABLE AND COMBUSTIBLE LIQUIDS:

The scope of this chapter shall be the same as in article 79 of the fire code, except as provided in the following:

No person shall possess, keep or store, or permit the possession, keeping or storing, aboveground, within the city limits, class I liquids in containers in excess of five (5) gallons except class I liquids contained in fuel tank or tanks of a motor vehicle, construction equipment, aircraft, motor boat or mobile power or heating plant.

This section shall not apply to aboveground storage of class I liquids at wholesale distributing depots now in existence within the city limits which are being operated and maintained in accordance with the fire code. (Ord. 1263, 5-26-1981)
