Chapter 18.38 — P PARKING ZONE

§ 18.38.010. Establishment.

There is hereby established a zone which shall hereinafter be known as the "P parking zone," and which shall function and serve as set out in this chapter. (Prior code § 9205.17)

§ 18.38.020. Intent and purpose.

The intent and purpose of the P zone is to recognize and continue to preserve those areas within the city that were previously zoned solely for off-street parking and related purposes pursuant to the proceedings established by an ordinance in effect prior to adoption of the ordinance codified in this title.

§ 18.38.030. Applicability—Criteria.

In order to qualify for application of the P zone, property must have been previously zoned B, buffer zone, in which the use and development of such property was restricted to off-street parking facilities and related purposes, and of which a vested interest can be shown as being required for such purposes.

§ 18.38.040. Permitted uses.

The uses of land permitted in the P zone shall be limited only to off-street parking facilities. (Prior code § 9205.17(C))

Regulations governing the development of property for uses in the P zone are specifically set forth in Chapter 18.42 of this title. (Prior code § 9205.17(D))

§ 18.38.060. Off-street parking.

Regulations governing off-street parking requirements for uses and development of property in the P zone are specifically set forth in Chapter 18.44 of this title. (Prior code § 9205.17(E))

§ 18.38.070. Signs and advertising.

Regulations governing permitted signs and advertising for uses and development of property in the P zone are specifically set forth in Chapter 18.46 of this title.
