5.28.010 - Certificates required.

Any person who establishes, maintains or carries on the business of public laundry or wash house, where articles are cleaned for hire, is guilty of a misdemeanor unless he shall have obtained:

A. First, from the president of the board of health a certificate that the premises are sufficiently drained and that such business can be carried on without injury to the sanitary condition of the neighborhood;

B. Second, from the chief of the fire department of the city a certificate that the heating appliances are in good condition and that their use is not dangerous to the surrounding property.
