Parlier Municipal Code Ch. 15.04 General Provisions

Chapter 15.04 of the Fresno County Code is adopted in its entirety by reference pursuant to California Government Code Section 50022.9 and is enacted and incorporated in this chapter.

A. Section 15.04.020 of Title 15 of Fresno County Ordinances is not adopted by this chapter.

B. Section 15.04.020 of the Parlier Municipal Code is hereby enacted to read as follows:

15.04.020 Definitions . Whenever the following terms appear herein or, in any of the codes referred to, or in the Fresno County Ordinance Code, Chapters 15.04 through 15.52 of which are incorporated by reference and enacted into law pursuant to Section 2 of this Ordinance, they shall have the meaning ascribed to them in this Section unless the context clearly discloses a different intent.

(1) "Building official" or "administrative authority" means the city administrator of the city of Parlier or his designee.

(2) "City" means the incorporated portions of the city of Parlier,

(3) "City attorney" means the city attorney of the city of Parlier.

(4) "City council" means the city council of the city of Parlier.

(5) "Construction" includes 'construction, erection, enlargement, alteration, conversion or movement.

(6) "Department of housing and community development" referred to in the mobile home and mobile home park law and the rules and regulations of the division of housing implementing said law, means the building official as defined in this section.

(7) "Mayor" means the mayor of the city of Parlier or his designee.

(8) "Municipality" means the city of Parlier.

(9) "The board" or "board" or "board of supervisors" means the city council as defined in this section, except as used in Sections 15.04.060 and 15.04.070, when said terms shall mean the board of supervisors of Fresno County.

(10) "District attorney" means the district attorney of Fresno County, save and except when the duties pro— vided to be performed are those of the City.

(11) "Zone district", "zoning division of the Fresno County Ordinance Code", or other terms making reference to prevailing or governing zoning laws, means the zoning ordinance of the city of Parlier.

Any person convicted of violating any of the provisions of this title shall be guilty of an infraction, and shall be punishable as set forth in Section 1.16.010 of this code.
