9.28.010 - Discharge in town.

It is unlawful for any person to fire or discharge or cause to be fired or discharged, in the town, any firearms of any kind whatsoever without first obtaining permission of the chief of police to do so except:

A. Policemen lawfully acting within the scope of their official duties;

B. Persons lawfully using any pistol or rifle range which is operated pursuant to a license agreement with the town;

C. Where the discharge of such firearm is necessary for the protection or preservation of one's life or property of that of another and is otherwise lawful under the laws of the state. (Ord. 35 §1, 1980)

9.28.020 - Violation—Penalty.

Any person violating any provision of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be subject to a fine of not less than five dollars nor more than five hundred dollars or by imprisonment in the county jail for not less than one day nor more than six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. (Ord. 35 §2, 1980)
