SEC. 15-53. SUBMISSION FOR EXAMINATION; REJECTION AND APPROVAL.

(A) Before filing an application with the planning division for a final map or parcel map, the subdivider shall submit a copy of the map to the director, who shall review the affidavits and acknowledgments and the surveying data, mathematical data, computations and other matters, in order to determine whether the map complies with the requirements of the Subdivision Map Act, this chapter and any conditions imposed on the tentative subdivision map. (B) If the director finds that the final map or parcel map does not so comply, he/she shall return the final map or parcel map to the subdivider, together with a statement of the grounds for rejection of the final map or parcel map and the matters that must be corrected before the final map or parcel map may be resubmitted for his/her review.

(C) If the director finds that the final map or parcel map does so comply, the city engineer shall endorse his/her approval thereon and return the final map or parcel map to the subdivider.

(D) After a final map or parcel map is endorsed by the city engineer, the subdivider shall file with the planning division an application for director approval of the final map or parcel map. (`64 Code, Sec. 27-43) (Ord. No. 1570, 2367, 2445, 2910)
