Oroville Municipal Code Ch. 15.08 Building Code

A. This chapter shall be known and cited as the "City of Oroville Building Code" (hereinafter referred to as "code").

B. The purpose of this code is to establish the minimum requirements to provide a reasonable level of safety, health and general welfare through structural strength, means of egress, stability, sanitation, light and ventilation, energy conservation, and for providing a reasonable level of life safety and property protection from the hazards of fire, explosion or dangerous conditions, and to provide a reasonable level of safety to fire fighters and emergency responders during emergency operations.

The 2025 California Building Code, California Code of Regulations Title 24 Part 2, Volumes 1 and 2 including appendices C, F, I, J, O, P and Q are hereby adopted and incorporated by reference.
