Sec. 21.20. - Definitions.

For the purposes set forth in this section, "skateboard park" is defined as any park or area within a park that is designed and maintained for the purpose of skateboard, roller blade or roller skate use.

Sec. 21.21. - Hours of operation.

Notwithstanding the provisions set forth in section 20.24 of the Oceanside City Code, the hours of operation of the skateboard parks shall be 7:00 a.m. until one-half (½) hour after sunset, unless otherwise posted by the city at the park. It shall be unlawful to remain in, use, or enter the skateboard park during closed hours.

Sec. 21.22. - Helmets, kneepads and elbow pads required.

All persons who enter, remain in or use any publicly owned or publicly operated skateboard park are required to wear a helmet, kneepads and elbow pads which are commercially manufactured and designed specifically for the designated activity. This does not apply to any duly authorized city employee performing the duties of his/her job.
