§ 7.15.010. Birds.

No person shall keep or maintain in a cage or aviary out-of-doors within any residential district in the City any wild fowl or game bird except parakeets, canaries or similar size domesticated birds without first obtaining a Newport Beach Wild Animal Permit as provided in Section 7.08.040 of this Code, except any person complying with this section shall not be required to obtain a California Department of Fish and Game Permit.

§ 7.15.020. Pigeons.

No person shall keep, maintain or have in his possession within any residential district in the City any homing or racing pigeons without first obtaining a permit from the City Manager as provided in Section 7.08.040.

§ 7.15.030. Violation an Infraction.

It shall be unlawful for any person to violate any provisions or to fail to comply with any of the requirements of this chapter. Any person violating any of the provisions or failing to comply with any of the requirements of this chapter shall be guilty of an infraction.
