12.20.010 - Purpose.

Unless swimming and bathing is prohibited in waters adjacent to city parks, there is a great danger to the health, safety, morals and general welfare of the citizens of the city in that proper facilities and safeguards cannot be provided.

12.20.020 - Swimming prohibited.

It is unlawful for any person to swim, bathe, or wade in any water adjacent to any city park or any city-owned property.

12.20.030 - Posting of notice.

The director of public works shall post water adjacent to public parks with signs indicating that swimming, bathing and wading is prohibited by this chapter.

12.20.040 - Violation—Penalty.

Violation or failure to comply with any provision of this chapter shall constitute an infraction and shall be punishable in accordance with the provisions set forth in Chapter 1.16 of this code.
