9.12.010 - Prohibitions.

It is unlawful to discharge any firearm or airgun, BB gun, or any toy gun, or any other device, projecting lead or any missile except in a regularly licensed shooting gallery; provided, that this section shall not prohibit any officer of the law from discharging a firearm in the performance of his duty nor to any citizen from discharging a firearm when lawfully defending person or property. 9.12.020 - Violation—Penalty.

A. Violation of this chapter is an infraction.

B. Each infraction is punishable by:

  1. A fine not exceeding fifty dollars for the first violation;

  2. A fine not exceeding one hundred dollars for the second violation of this chapter within one year;

  3. A fine not exceeding two hundred fifty dollars for each additional violation of this chapter within one year.
