5.28.010 - California Employee Housing Act—Enforcement responsibility.¶
Upon written notice to the California Department of Housing and Community Development pursuant to California Labor Code Section 2640, and pursuant to approval of the Department obtained in accordance therewith, the county shall assume the responsibility for the enforcement of the California Employee Housing Act, Labor Code, Division 2, Part 9, Chapter 4, and the rules and regulations adopted pursuant thereto and set forth in Title 25, California Administrative Code, Chapter 2. The enforcement thereof shall be the function of the division of environmental health of the department of public health of the county. The building department of the county shall exercise supervision over construction, pursuant to Title 15 (uniform building codes) of this code.

5.28.020 - Permit to operate and reinspection fees.¶
A. Every person applying for a permit to operate a labor camp shall pay a fee to the county in the amount prescribed by regulations promulgated by the commission on housing and community development, as they may be amended from time to time.
B. Whenever any reinspection is required, the operator shall pay a reinspection fee to the county in the amount as prescribed in such regulations, as they may be amended from time to time.

5.28.030 - Effective date.¶
The ordinance codified in this chapter shall become effective, and the date of assumption by the county of the enforcement responsibility described herein shall be January 1, 1975, provided the county has received the advice of the Department of Housing and Community Development that such effective date has been accepted by the Department.
