5.44.010 - Swimming pool defined.¶
"Swimming pool" means and includes both public and private swimming pools as more particularly defined in Chapter 8.12 of this code.

5.44.020 - Registration and certification requirements.¶
A. No person shall engage either in the business or occupation of treating swimming pool waters, or of cleaning filters, heaters or other appurtenances or appliances used or usable in connection therewith, or in the business of maintaining swimming pools or facilities or appurtenances or appliances thereof, within the city limits of the city, unless he is certified or registered in accordance with the provisions of Article 13, Chapter 1 of Title 5 of the Santa Clara Ordinance County Code, or unless he is expressly excused or exempted from such requirement by the provisions of such county code.
B. Any person registered or certified under the provisions of subsection A of this section may lawfully engage in such business or occupation only to the extent permitted pursuant to such registration or certification.
