§ 2.20.010. Official bonds.

The city manager, director of finance, city clerk, city treasurer and other hereinafter designated officers and employees of the city shall, before entering upon the duties of their respective offices, cause a bond to be delivered to the city, as follows:

City manager (or city manager pro tem) $15,000.00
City clerk 5,000.00
Deputy city clerk 2,000.00
City treasurer 50,000.00
Deputy city treasurer 50,000.00
Director of finance 50,000.00
All other employees, each 2,000.00

Each of the bonds shall be conditioned for the faithful performance of the duties of said respective officers and employees and said bonds shall each have as surety thereon a responsible corporate bonding company duly authorized and qualified to do business as such in the state. A blanket fidelity bond executed by such a corporate surety company in the same or greater amount may be substituted in the place and stead of any or all of the faithful performance bonds abovementioned, to the extent of such blanket coverage, provided that any additional coverage, as required above, shall be contained in separate and individual fidelity bonds.

The premiums on all bonds required by this chapter shall be paid by the city.
