Editor's note— Ord. No. NS-220, § 3, adopted December 3, 2019, repealed Ch. 9.02, §§ 9.02.010—9.02.040, and enacted a new Ch. 9.02, §§ 9.02.010 and 9.02.020. The former Ch. 9.02 was entitled "Amendments to the 1997 Uniform Housing Code, Code for Abatement of Dangerous Buildings and Code for Building Conservation", and derived from Ord. NS-192, adopted December 3, 2013.
9.02.010 - Adoption of 1997 Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings.¶
For the purpose of prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property, the City Council hereby adopts that certain code known as the 1997 Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, subject to the deletions, amendments, exceptions, and additions which are specified herein. A copy of the adopted provisions of this code shall be filed for use and examination by the public in the office of the City Building Official.

9.02.020 - Amendments to 1997 Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings.¶
The 1997 Uniform Code for Abatement of Dangerous Buildings is amended in the following manner:
The definition of "BUILDING CODE" in Section 301 —General is amended to read:
BUILDING CODE shall mean the building code standards in Title 24, California Code of Regulations, Part 2 — California Building Code and Part 2.5— California Residential Code, published by the California Building Standards Commission with such amendments as adopted by the City of Monte Sereno.
