3.28.010 Imposed.¶
There is imposed on every dwelling unit or business unit in the city, detached accessory building not included, an annual service fee of twenty-four dollars, due and payable as of July 1st of each fiscal year. (Ord. 87-1 § 1, 1987)
3.28.020 Annual billing.¶
The charge shall be billed annually and shall be identified as a fire protection/ suppression fee. (Ord. 87-1 § 2, 1987)
3.28.030 Use of funds.¶
The charge shall be used solely for fire protection. (Ord. 87-1 § 3, 1987)
3.28.040 Multiple units.¶
Where units are multiple in nature, whether resident or business, the charge for each such multiple unit shall be billed to the property owner. (Ord. 87-1 § 4, 1987)
3.28.050 Separate fund.¶
Collection of all such charges shall be deposited by the city clerk in a separate fund identified as the fire protection service fund, for the use of the fire department to provide fire protection. (Ord. 87-1 § 5, 1987)
3.28.060 Failure to pay.¶
Failure to pay the fire protection suppression fee shall result in a lien on the real property affecting in favor of the city. (Ord. 87-1 § 6, 1987)
