10.08.010 Bail schedule.¶
Bail for parking violations shall be set forth hereinafter. Bail amounts are set and authorized by resolution of the city council. If the parking violation is contested, the bail shall be the fine for conviction on these sections:

*** Note:** The fine is two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) unless proof of valid vehicle registration b furnished. in wh1ch case the fine is reduced to fifty dollars ($50.00).
The city council may change the bail and fine by ordinance or resolution. (Ord. 03-01A (part), 2003)
10.08.020 Bail procedure—Delinquency penalty.¶
Bail may be posted and forfeited by mailing it to, or by paying m person at the Montague City clerk's office within fifteen (15) days. An additional five dollar ($5.00) penalty is applicable to payments made after the initial fifteen (15) day period. (Ord. 03-01A (part), 2003)
10.08.030 Delinquency procedure.¶
If payment of the parking violation bail isn't received by the city clerk's office within the fifteen (15) days allowed, the city shall serve or mail to the registered owner a notice of delinquent parking violation. (Ord. 03-01A (part), 2003)
10.08.040 Charge for copy of original notice.¶
Within fifteen (15) days of a request, the city shall provide (if it hasn't already done so) to the person who has received a notice of delinquent parking violations, or to his or her agent, a copy of the original notice of parking violation. The city may charge one dollar ($1.00) for a requested copy. (Ord. 03-01A (part), 2003)
10.08.050 Applicability of California Vehicle Code.¶
Appearances and payments shall be processed in accordance with the applicable provisions of Article 3 (Procedure on Parking Violations) of Chapter 1, Division 17 of the California Vehicle Code (Section 40200 through 40230). (Ord. 03-01A (part), 2003)
10.08.060 Violation frequency.¶
Except for Section 10.08.010(F), every parking violation that continues uninterrupted may be given a notice of parking violation once a day. Section 10.08.010(F) violators may be given such a notice once each three days. (Ord. 03-01A (part), 2003)
10.08.070 Authorization for towing and storage.¶
Vehicles parked in violation of any parking restriction set forth in or pursuant to this title may be towed and stored at the direction of a county deputy or designated city employee and at the expense of the owner operator, if the deputy or city employee determines that towing is necessary for the safety of the public, or to clear the streets of a vehicle which has been given two or more consecutive (continuous) notices of parking violations of Section 10.12.010(F).
