§ 5.16.010 BUS BENCH DEFINED.¶
For the purpose of this chapter, a BUS BENCH shall be defined as a seat or bench provided upon public property along or adjacent to any public right-of-way for the comfort, convenience and accommodation of passersby or persons awaiting transportation.

§ 5.16.020 PROHIBITION.¶
It shall be unlawful for any person to install, place or maintain any bus bench on any street, public sidewalk or parkway area with the city. This section shall apply to any bus bench so installed, placed or maintained by the city.

§ 5.16.030 REMOVAL.¶
The Street Superintendent may remove and store any bus bench installed, placed or maintained on or adjacent to any public right-of-way in violation of this chapter. The owner or his or her duly authorized agent may recover the bus bench if, within 60 days after the removal thereof, the cost of such removal and storage are paid, which shall not exceed $10 for removal and $10 per month for storage. After 60 days the Street Superintendent may sell, destroy or otherwise dispose of the bus bench pursuant to Chapter 2.88 of this code.

§ 5.16.040 ENFORCEMENT.¶
The Street Superintendent and the Chief of Police shall enforce the provisions of this chapter.
