11.12.010 - Authority.

The speed zones adopted pursuant to this chapter are established in conformance with the California Vehicle Code, Division 11, Chapter 1, Section 21100 et seq.

11.12.020 - Limits effective when signs erected.

Speed limits set forth in this chapter shall be effective only when appropriate signs giving notice thereof are erected upon such road.

11.12.030 - Twenty-five miles per hour.

There is determined and declared a speed limit of twenty-five miles per hour in the following communities, on the following named roads:

A. Sierra Paradise:

  1. Westridge Road for its entire length.

  2. Glen Court for its entire length.

  3. Dennis Way for its entire length.

  4. Scott Road for its entire length.

  5. Paradise Point for its entire length.

  6. Summit Road for its entire length.

B. Paradise View Estates: Westridge Road for its entire length.

C. Bridgeport:

  1. Stock Drive for its entire length.

  2. Emigrant Street for three hundred feet west of Kirkwood Street east to Sinclair Street.

  3. Twin Lakes Road from intersection of South Twin Lakes Road to 0.1 mile west of Twin Lakes Resort.

D. Lee Vining:

  1. Mattly Avenue from five hundred feet North of Lee Vining High School to Visitor Center Drive.

11.12.040 - Thirty miles per hour.

There is determined and declared a speed limit of thirty miles per hour in the following communities on the following named roads:

A. Crowley Lake: South Landing Drive, General Store/Lakeview Subdivision Area, from Crowley Lake Drive Intersection to 0.6 miles north of the Crowley Lake Drive Intersection.

B. Chalfant:

  1. The North-South section of Chalfant Avenue to Lisa Lane.

11.12.050 - Thirty-five miles per hour.

There is determined and declared a speed limit of thirty-five miles per hour in the following communities on the following roads:

A. Long Valley: Crowley Lake Drive, Eaton Ranch Area, Hwy. 395 intersection to 0.5 miles east of Hwy. 395 intersection.

B. Hilton Creek: Crowley Lake Drive, from 1.1 miles northwest from South Landing Road to 0.1 miles southeast from South Landing Road.

C. Toms Place: Crowley Lake Drive, Rock Creek Road intersection to 0.5 miles west of Rock Creek Road.

D. Sierra Paradise: Lower Rock Creek Road, from five hundred feet above the Paradise fire station to one thousand feet southerly of the Paradise Lodge.

E. June Lake: Northshore Drive from its intersection with State Highway 158 at Oh! Ridge to its intersection with State Highway 158 near the June Lake Ski Area.

11.12.060 - Forty-five miles per hour.

There is determined and declared a speed limit of forty-five miles per hour in the following communities on the following named roads:

Aspen Springs Area: Crowley Lake Drive, from 0.1 miles west from the west end of Aspen Springs Drive to 0.1 miles east of the east end of Aspen Springs Drive.

11.12.070 - Fifteen miles per hour.

There is hereby determined and declared a speed limit of fifteen miles per hour in the following communities on the following named roads:

A. Lee Vining:

  1. Lee Vining Avenue, for its entire length.

  2. Mattly Avenue, from the intersection of US Highway 395 to five hundred feet North of Lee Vining High School.
