12.08.010 - Applicability of chapter.

The provisions of this chapter shall apply to all cattle guards on all county roads within the county.

12.08.020 - Cattle guards to be purchased by persons maintaining fences.

It shall be the obligation of the landowner or landowners, whose obligation it is under law to maintain any fence intersecting a county road, to furnish at their expense a cattle guard to be installed at the point where such fence crosses the county road.

12.08.030 - Installation and maintenance by county.

It shall be the obligation of the county to install and maintain all cattle guards situated on county roads.

12.08.040 - Replacement by county.

When in the judgment of the county it becomes necessary to replace any cattle guard situated on a county road, the cost of purchase of the same, as well as the cost of installation and maintenance, shall be borne by the county.

12.08.050 - Gates.

Construction and maintenance of gates adjacent to cattle guards on county roads shall be the obligation of the landowner.
