§ 11.20.010. Application to vacate street—Fees.

Any person applying to the City for the vacation of any public street shall pay to the City a fee of $53.00 plus the actual cost of publishing necessary notices and the actual cost of engineering and legal services. At the time such application is made the applicant shall deposit with the City the amount which the City Manager estimates will be necessary to defray such costs. If the deposit exceeds the costs actually incurred, the balance shall be refunded to the applicant. If the actual costs incurred exceed such deposit, the applicant shall pay to the City the balance due. The acceptance by the City of such fee or costs shall not obligate the City to vacate any street nor to undertake statutory proceedings to vacate any street if the City's investigation discloses that such action is not warranted.
