§ 2.12.010. Repealed.

§ 2.12.020. Agricultural commissioner and sealer of weights and measures.

  • A. The board of supervisors of Merced County, California, elects to consolidate the duties of the county agricultural commissioner and the county sealer of weights and measures.

  • B. The duties of the county agricultural commissioner and the county sealer of weights and measures shall be performed by the county agricultural commissioner.

§ 2.12.030. Recorder, auditor, and county clerk.

  • A. This ordinance codified in this section shall be known as, and may be referred to as "the auditor, recorder, and county clerk consolidated ordinance."

  • B. The duties of the recorder of the county, the duties of the auditor of the county, and the duties of the county clerk are consolidated. The person elected or appointed to fill the united and consolidated offices of recorder, auditor, and county clerk take the oath and give the bond required for each, and shall receive the compensation of the offices of recorder auditor, and be qualified by the laws of the state of California and the ordinances of Merced County to serve each of the three offices.

§ 2.12.040. Treasurer and tax collector.

The duties of the treasurer of the county and the duties of the tax collector of the county are consolidated, and the person elected or appointed to fill the united and consolidated offices of treasurer and tax collector shall take the oath and give the bond required for each, and shall receive the compensation of the offices of treasurer-tax collector. (Ord. 302, 1954)

§ 2.12.050. District attorney and public administrator.

  • A. The duties of the office of district attorney and public administrator are consolidated.

  • B. The duties of the district attorney and the public adminstrator shall be performed by the Merced County district attorney.

  • C. The county counsel shall act as attorney for the public administrator to the extent provided by law.
