§ 15.36.010. Required—Conformance required.¶
A. Every person owning any building (or the agent thereof) shall place or cause to be placed on the building, where it may be readily seen from the street at all times, the proper number of the building as herein specified.
B. All existing buildings shall conform to the terms and conditions of this chapter, within 1 year of the effective date of the ordinance codified in this Chapter. New buildings shall conform to this Chapter before occupancy of the building.
C. Where a building cannot be seen from the street, acceptable identification or addressing shall be located at the driveway entrance to the building.

§ 15.36.020. Manner.¶
A. Unless otherwise approved by the enforcing agency, each building shall be numbered with nonswitched internally lighted house numbers and every subdivision of or apartment within the building shall have the entrance into same, numbered with identifying letters or numbers at least 1 ¾ inches in height. The numbers or letters placed at each entrance shall be of a contrasting color from the background on which they are placed; and it is unlawful for any person, whether owner or occupant of the building or any apartment therein, to place, maintain or allow to remain thereon any number other than the one required by this chapter. All numbers shall be of substantial and permanent material and must be so placed or affixed as not to be easily removed or affected. The numbers and the surrounding area shall be maintained in such a fashion that the house number may be readily seen from the street at all times.
B. Every dwelling or commercial complex with buildings not fronting directly on the street, shall have installed at the entry of said complex, a lighted directional map showing the location and number of each subdivision within the site served by that entry. The map shall be constructed of a substantial material with numbers of sufficient size to be easily read. A plan of the map shall be submitted to the Planning and Building Department for review and approval prior to installation.

§ 15.36.030. Determination of numbers to be used.¶
All houses shall be numbered in accordance with the numbers shown and delineated on the map of the City on the file in the office of the City Clerk.
