§ 10.56.010. Designation authority.¶
Whenever any ordinance of this city designates and describes any street or portion thereof as a street, the use of which is permitted by any commercial vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of three tons, the City Traffic Engineer is authorized to designate such street or streets by appropriate signs as "Truck Routes" for the movement of vehicles exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of three tons.

§ 10.56.020. Three-ton trucks to be driven on truck routes—Only.¶
When any such truck route or routes are established and designated by appropriate signs, the operator of any commercial vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of three tons shall drive on such route or routes and none other, except that nothing in this chapter shall prohibit the operator of any commercial vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight of three tons coming from a truck route having ingress and egress by direct route to and from restricted streets when necessary for the purpose of making pickups or deliveries of goods, wares and merchandise from or to any building or structure located on such restricted streets, or for the purpose of delivering materials to be used in the actual and bona fide repair, alteration, remodeling or construction of any building or structure upon such restricted streets for which a building permit has previously been obtained therefor.

§ 10.56.030. Exceptions prom provisions.¶
The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to:
A. Passenger buses under the jurisdiction of the Public Utilities commission; or.
B. Any vehicle owned by a public utility while necessarily in use in the construction, installation or repair of any public utility.

§ 10.56.040. Designated.¶
Those streets and parts of streets established by ordinance of the council and listed herein are declared to be truck routes for the movement of vehicles exceeding a maximum gross weight of three tons:
A. Alhambra Avenue—Marina Vista to Hwy. 4;
B. Berrellesa Street—Marina Vista to Alhambra Avenue (at Bertola);
C. Center/Pine Street—Howe Road to Hwy. 4;
D. Escobar Street—Berrellesa Street to Marina Vista (at Miller);
E. Howe Road—Pacheco Boulevard to Center/Pine Street;
F. Marina Vista—Berrellesa Street to east city limits;
G. Pacheco Boulevard—Shell Avenue to east city limits;
H. Shell Avenue—Marina Vista to Pacheco Boulevard.
