17.332.010 Historic Design Review Overlay Zone

The historic design review overlay zone (HDRO) is an overlay zone which is intended to be combined with the underlying principal zone and any other overlay zones. The HDRO zone has been applied to an area containing a substantial number of historic buildings to protect the overall appearance and integrity of the historic area by preserving existing structures and regulating the design of new structures and changes in the

appearance of existing structures. The purpose of this zoning classification is to ensure that proposed buildings, structures, signs, and landscaping and modifications to buildings, structures, signs, and landscaping within these areas are in harmony with the historic nature of the area. The intent of the zone is to promote the overall economic vitality of the historic district, enhance tourism and to stabilize and increase property values.

17.332.020 Development Standards And Plan Review Requirements For HDRO And Designated…

The development standards, HDRO plan review requirements, HDRO plan processing procedures and demolition permit review standards for the Mariposa TPA HDRO Zone and the designated historic sites and structures lying outside the HDRO Zone as shown in Appendix C of the Mariposa Town Planning Specific Plan shall be as specified in Chapter 17.67 of this title.

17.332.030 Architectural Theme And Development Guidelines

The architectural theme and development guidelines for the Mariposa TPA HDRO zone shall be as specified in section 17.336.070.
