8.16.010 Encroachment¶
“Encroachment” means any tower, pole, pole line, pipe, pipe line, fence, access road, driveway, billboard, stand, building, or any structure or obstruction of any kind or character not particularly mentioned in this chapter which is placed in, under, or over any portion of any City road or right-of-way owned by the City.
8.16.020 Permit¶
No person shall encroach upon, nor in any way cause any obstruction or alteration of city roads without first obtaining from the City Engineer a written permit for such purpose.
8.16.030 Bond May Be Required¶
At the discretion of the City Engineer, the permittee may be required to file a bond payable to the City in an amount to be specified by the City Engineer for the faithful compliance upon the part of the permittee of all terms and conditions of said permit and of this chapter.

8.16.040 Inspections¶
All work to be done under said permit shall be subject to inspection by the City Engineer and shall meet the standards of said Engineer. In case the work does not meet the required standards, the City Engineer shall cause the work to be completed to the said standards by the City Road Department and the cost thereof shall be paid by the permittee.
8.16.050 Drainage Interference¶
If the work done interferes with the drainage of any City road, the permittee shall install the necessary culverts and appurtenances at permittees own expense and subject to the approval of the City Engineer.
