8.24.010 - Definitions.¶
A.
"Establishment" means any bar, nightclub, restaurant, cabaret, theater, arena or similar place to which the public is admitted.
B.
"Gratuity" means any money or thing of value, or that which is representative of or which can be redeemed for money or thing of value. A "gratuity" consists of any tip, reward or payment but does not include regularly set wages paid by an employer.

8.24.020 - Soliciting or accepting gratuities prohibited when.¶
No person shall solicit or accept any gratuity while:
A.
Participating in any live act, dance, demonstration or exhibition in which such person exposes his or her genitals, pubic hair or cleavage of the buttocks while in any establishment;
B.
Serving food and/or drink, during which such person exposes his or her genitals, pubic hair, or cleavage of the buttocks while in any establishment.

8.24.030 - Soliciting or accepting gratuities for another prohibited.¶
An employee of or person acting on behalf of an establishment shall not solicit, accept or hold any gratuity for the persons described in subsections A or B of Section 8.24.020.

8.24.040 - Sign requirements.¶
An establishment in which any of the acts defined in subsections A or B of Section 8.24.020 occur shall have a sign conspicuously posted at its entries and in the immediate vicinity of where such acts occur which shall read "No Tipping. Performers may not receive tips for or while performing or while nude." Los Angeles County Ordinance No. 12,128. The letters composing such sign each shall be a minimum of three inches high.

8.24.050 - Violation—Penalty.¶
Any person violating the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not exceeding $500.00, or by imprisonment in the County Jail for a period not exceeding six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
