15.56.010 - Blocking streets—Restrictions.

A person shall not operate or permit the operation of any train or train of railroad cars in such a manner as to block the movement of traffic upon any public street, highway or street crossing for a period of time longer than 10 minutes.

15.56.020 - Exceptions to chapter applicability.

This chapter does not apply:

A.

To any train or train of railroad cars in continuous motion in one direction;

B.

Where the blocking of the crossing or public street or highway is caused by an unforeseen accident or mechanical failure in connection with such train or train of railroad cars.

15.56.030 - Application of state law.

Should it be held that Section 369c as added to the Penal Code of the state of California by Chapter 158, page 433 at 455 of the Statutes of 1901 is valid and enforceable, then in that event this chapter shall not apply to any action specifically prohibited by said Section 369c of the Penal Code.
