5.56.010 - Applicability.

This Chapter shall apply to "locksmiths" as that term is defined in California Business and Professions Code Section 6980(j). This Chapter shall not apply to those persons set forth in California Business and Professions Code Section 6980.12.

5.56.020 - Permit and license required.

No person shall practice, engage in or carry on the business of locksmith in the City without having first met the following requirements:

A. The person has paid any business license tax required pursuant to Chapter 3.80 herein; and

B. The person holds a valid locksmith license in accordance with the provisions of California Business and Professions Code Section 6980.10, and exhibits a copy of said license.
