§ 2.04.010. Time and Place of City Council Meetings.¶
The regular meeting of the City Council shall be held at the Council meeting room in City Hall located at 100 Civic Center Plaza, Lompoc, California, at such time as is provided for in the City Council Manual of Procedures, as adopted by Resolution of the City Council. If any regular meeting falls on a holiday, or on a State-wide election day, such regular meeting shall be held on the next business day. The term "holiday" as used herein shall mean a general holiday under the Government Code of the State of California.

§ 2.04.020. Salaries of Council Members.¶
A. Council Members' salaries shall be based on the population of the City of Lompoc, as determined by Federal census or estimate validated by the California Department of Finance or similar entity. As determined by the 2020 Federal census, the population of the City of Lompoc was 44,444 persons.
B. Inasmuch as the last Council Member salary adjustment was approved in 1999 and became effective in 2000, the salaries authorized herein are adopted pursuant to the authority of California Government Code Section 36516.
C. Each member of the City Council, including the Mayor, shall receive as salary $1,200.00 per month.
D. The elected Mayor shall receive additional compensation of $200.00 per month.
E. The salaries authorized are exclusive of any amounts payable to each Council Member as reimbursement for actual and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of official duties for the City. The salaries authorized are exclusive of health insurance and other benefits accruing to Council Members.
F. Council Member salaries are payable at the same time and in the same manner as salaries paid to officers and employees of the City of Lompoc.
G. In accordance with Government Code Section 36516.5, the compensation established by this Section shall be payable on and after the date of commencement of a new term of office by one or more Council Members.

§ 2.04.030. Mayor Pro Tempore—Selection and Term.¶
At its first regularly scheduled meeting after a General Municipal Election, the City Council shall choose one of its members as Mayor Pro Tempore. The term of the Mayor Pro Tempore shall be for a period of one year, or until a successor is chosen.
