§ 10.08.010. City council to establish speed limits.¶
The city council of the city, pursuant to Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code, establishes upon the basis of engineering and traffic surveys the prima facie speed limits on portions of certain streets within the city, as designated in Section 10.08.030.

§ 10.08.020. Director authorized to erect speed limit signs.¶
The director of public works shall erect signs giving notice of the prima facie speed limits, as set forth in Section 10.08.030, upon the city streets.

§ 10.08.030. Speed limits.¶
It shall be prima facie unlawful to operate any vehicle at speed in excess of that established as follows:
A. The speed limit shall be 50 miles per hour on the following street segments:

These local/residential streets shall have a recommended prima facie speed limit of 25 mph that can be enforced with radar, exempt from speed trap laws related to engineering and traffic survey requirements:
