§ 7.12.010. Grading required.

It is unlawful to sell, offer for sale, have in possession for sale, exchange, barter or trade any dressed turkey or turkeys for consumption in Lassen County unless the dressed turkey or turkeys are graded and marked as to grade by a regularly appointed and qualified U.S. Government Grader, in accordance with the U.S. Government grades for dressed turkeys, except that all turkeys having dressing or other defects that do not permit the use of the government grades shall be marked with a tag showing the words "Below Government Grades", and provided that this chapter shall not apply to any person, firm or corporation selling not more than six dressed turkeys in any one year, nor to turkeys sold directly to the consumer on the premises where grown.

§ 7.12.020. Selling price—Proper grade designation required.

It is unlawful to advertise or display a selling price of dressed turkeys without such price being accompanied by a statement of the proper grade applying to the turkeys.
