§ 12.12.010. Weight restrictions.¶
The City Council may set specific weight limits on certain bridges or roadways when such a restriction is in the interest of the safety of the motoring public.

§ 12.12.020. Permits.¶
A. The Director is authorized to issue permits for variations from the size, weight and load limitations set forth in Division 15 (commencing with Section 35000) of the Vehicle Code. Such authorization shall be exercised in accordance with the guidelines and restrictions set forth in Article 6 of Chapter 5 of Division 15 of the Vehicle Code (commencing at Section 35780), as it may be amended from time to time.
B. The City Council shall establish an administration fee for permits issued for a vehicle or combination of vehicles under the provisions of this section.
C. The Director may require such undertaking or security as he or she deems necessary to protect the highways and bridges from injury, or to provide indemnity for any injury resulting from the operation of the vehicle.

§ 12.12.030. Regulations for moving buildings or structures.¶
A. It is unlawful for any building or structure 20 feet or more in width to be moved over, upon, along or across any highway, street, alley or way unless the contractor so moving the same shall have not less than five persons engaged in said moving operations comprised as follows:
A foreman;
A truck driver;
A person on the building to handle wire clearances;
Two flaggers, one to be at least 300 feet ahead of the building or structure, the other flagger to follow said building or structure at a distance sufficient to give adequate warning to approaching traffic. Said flagger shall carry the signals required by law.
B. When any building is to be moved, the permit shall not be issued unless an oversized load transportation permit has been obtained from the City for the relocation of said building or structure.
