Sec. 22-1. - Scope of Application.¶
1.1 The scope of this chapter shall apply to all areas of the County of Lake except…¶
laws of the federal government or a city. This chapter may be cited as the Burning Regulations of the County of Lake. This chapter has been prepared pursuant to Section 4117 of the Public Resources Code of the State of California for the purpose of fire hazard protection, but is also intended to provide for coordination of the Air Quality Management District and effected Fire Protection Agencies.

Sec. 22-2. - Areas of Responsibility and Fire Hazard Severity Zones.¶
2.1
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) has caused to be prepared a map of the County of Lake which specifies by readily identified boundaries the limits of firefighting responsibilities of the State of California and those of local agencies. A copy of this map shall be kept at the office of the County Clerk of the County of Lake and shall be available for inspection at reasonable times by the public.

The CAL FIRE has caused to be prepared a map of the County of Lake, a map of the City of Lakeport, and a map of the city of Clearlake which specify by readily identified boundaries Fire Hazard Severity Zones; classifying these zones into "Moderate," "High," and "Very High" fire hazard regions. These maps shall be kept at the office of the County Clerk of the County of Lake and shall be available for inspection at reasonable times by the public.
