Sec. 19-137. - Weight Limits.

137.1 Pursuant to the authority of Section 35706 of the Vehicle Code of the State of California, it shall be unlawful for any person to operate a vehicle in excess of the following weight on any of the following unimproved County highways:

(a) On Point Lakeview Road, County Road No. 219, from Wheeler Drive, County Road No. 552B, to Anderson Road, County Road No. 144E, 5 tons per vehicle.

137.2 The Road Commissioner shall place or cause to be placed, in a conspicuous place on all entrances to the highway, or portion of highway, upon which the permissible gross weight is altered, an adequate sign bearing the weight so fixed as designated in Section 19.137.1.

137.3 Penalty: Any person who willfully violates any provisions of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500), or by imprisonment in the County Jail for a period not to exceed six (6) months.
