Sec. 8.10.010. - General definitions.¶
The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this chapter, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:
(05) Parking facility means any parking lot or parking structure owned, operated, or leased by the City.

Sec. 8.10.020. - Policy and enforcement.¶
(a) Vehicle parking at City parking facilities shall be permitted only in spaces designated for parking by appropriately marked lines, and pursuant to posted signs permitting or prohibiting parking.
(b) No person shall park a motor vehicle in any marked space in such a manner as to occupy more than one space.
(c) Any violation of this section shall be an infraction; and any peace officer or any regularly employed and salaried employee whose duties include directing traffic and/or enforcing parking laws and regulations of the City, or deputized parking personnel of the City, may enforce such regulation by the issuance of warning notices, citations or tow-away orders, by arrest, or by any combination thereof to violators. Removal of vehicles from City parking facilities shall be accomplished in accordance with Vehicle Code Div. 11, ch. 10, art. 1 (Vehicle Code § 22850 et seq.).

Sec. 8.10.030. - Director to establish restricted parking areas.¶
The Department is hereby authorized and directed, in accordance with Vehicle Code §§ 21113 and 22519, to install and maintain appropriate signs and markings at City parking facilities as deemed necessary to create parking stalls and areas designated for certain limited uses. These uses may include, but are not limited to, use for:
(1) Persons with disabilities;
(2) Official, police, service, or delivery vehicles;
(3) Fire access lanes;
(4) Vehicle inspection areas and loading zones;
(5) Employee parking;
(6) Rideshare parking.
