8-910 - Adoption by reference of County Ordinance Code Chapter 54-12.

Contra Costa County Ordinance Code Chapter 54-12, Alarm Systems, is adopted by reference under the authority of Sections 50020 through 50022.9 of the Government Code of the State. This chapter regulates alarm systems and provides for a fee to defray the cost of responding to false alarms.

8-911 - Penalty.

(a) A violation of this chapter is an infraction punishable by (1) a fine not exceeding 50 dollars for a first violation; (2) a fine not exceeding 100 dollars for a second violation; and (3) a fine not exceeding 250 dollars for each additional violation of the same provision within one year.

(b) A violation of this chapter constitutes a public nuisance. In addition to any other remedies provided in this chapter, the city may summarily abate and bring suit to enjoin or abate the nuisance.
