§ 15.36.040. Substantial remodels in the very high severity fire zone.¶
Section R337.1.3 of the California Residential Code is amended to restate exemption 4 as follows:
- Additions to and remodels of buildings originally constructed prior to the applicable application date that do not affect more than 90% of the existing structure. Modifications to more than 90% of the existing structure shall be considered a new structure.
