16.08.010 Enforcement .

All provisions of this chapter shall be carried out and enforced by the law enforcement agency of the city, and by the Los Angeles County fire department and the consolidated fire protection district. The general supervision of conditions and equipment which aid in control of fire, conditions constituting fire hazards or danger to life or property, and the abatement or minimizing of such fire hazards or dangerous conditions shall be the responsibility of the Los Angeles County fire department and the consolidated fire protection district.

16.08.020 Defined .

"Explosive" and "explosives" whenever used in this code include blasting caps or other detonating or fulminating caps or detonator or electric caps, gun powder, blasting powder, dynamite, and every other explosive substance having a power equal to or greater than that of ordinary black powder, but do not include the substances in the form of fixed ammunition for small arms.

16.08.030 Storing prohibited .

No person, firm or corporation shall have, possess, keep or store or permit the keeping or storing, in any place, house or building in the city, any explosive or explosives.

16.08.040 Selling, giving away prohibited .

It is unlawful for any person to give away, sell or deliver any explosive or explosives within the city.
