9.09.010 - Permit applications—Required—Issuance.¶
All permit applications for the use of these facilities shall be issued by the department of parks and recreation. Applications for permits shall be issued to responsible adults only. A permit is required for all groups using the facilities, regardless of the purpose. Permit holders who sell or offer for sale any merchandise, article or thing whatsoever, or to practice, carry on, conduct or solicit for any trade, occupation, business or profession, must possess a current valid city business license. No application shall be issued to groups listed by the United States government as subversive.

9.09.020 - Reservations.¶
Permits shall be made in order of receipt of application by the department of parks and recreation and subject to the availability of facilities.

9.09.030 - Damage to property.¶
All properties, equipment, walls, and furnishings must be kept clean and undamaged, and any person or group causing damage will be required to pay for repair or replacement of same.

9.09.040 - Decoration plans—Submittal—Approval.¶
Groups must submit decoration plans to the department of parks and recreation for approval before decorations are installed. All decorations used must conform to the rules and regulations furnished to groups with their approved permits.

9.09.050 - Hours of use.¶
Use of the La Mesa Community Center shall be from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Sunday through Thursday. Friday and Saturday night closing shall be 11:30 p.m. Use of the La Mesa Recreation Center and Nan Couts Cottage shall be from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Sunday through Thursday. Friday and Saturday night closing shall be 11:00 p.m. Use of Adult Enrichment Center facilities shall be from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Sunday through Thursday. Friday and Saturday night closing shall be at 10:30 p.m. An individual or group of individuals may apply for a written permit for extended hours for the use of any building from the director of parks and recreation. The individual or group is authorized to be in the park for the hours set forth in said permit.

9.09.060 - Additional charges.¶
Additional charges will be made for unusual utility requirements, facility setup and tear down, and special janitorial requirements beyond the normal operating hours.

9.09.070 - Abuse of privilege—Revocation.¶
Any individual, group or organization which abuses the privilege of using facilities will be deprived of using them at any future date.

9.09.080 - Request for exception—Approval.¶
Any request for exception to the above rules or service charges for use of parks and recreation department facilities must have approval of the city council.

9.09.090 - Religious usage.¶
