9.16.010 - Minors under 18.¶
No person under the age of eighteen (18) years shall loiter, loaf, congregates be present at, or be upon any public street, way, square, park, place, building, or at or in any place of business, business house, public dance hall, or other place designed for the accommodation of the public, between the hours of eleven o'clock (11:00) p.m. of one day and five o'clock a.m. of the following day.

9.16.020 - Minors under 16.¶
No person under the age of sixteen (16) years shall loiters loaf, congregate, be present at or be upon any public street, way, square, park, place, building, or at or in any place of business, business house, public dance hall, or other places designed for the accommodation of the public, between the hours of ten o'clock (10:00) p.m. of one day and five o'clock a.m. of the following day.

9.16.030 - Exceptions.¶
The provisions of Sections 9.16.010 and 9.16.020 shall not apply:
A. To any minor who is accompanied by his/her parent, guardian, or other adult person having the lawful custody of such minor.
B. To the following places, to wit: public theatres and places where supervised entertainment, play, or instruction for minors under the age of eighteen (18) years is conducted; provided, however, that this exception shall apply only to minors who are in attendance at such theatres or places for the purpose of attending the entertainment, supervised entertainment, play, or instruction thereby afforded.
C. To any minor, while engaged in going to or returning from, in direct routes, the places mentioned in subsection (B) and his/her home or other place of abode; provided, however, in the event such minor stops, loiters, loafs, or congregates, or deviates from such direct route, this exception shall not apply.
D. To any minor while lawfully employed, or to such minor while engaged in going to or returning from his/her place of employment in a direct route between such place of employment and his/her place of abode.

9.16.040 - Violation by minor.¶
Any minor violating the provisions of this article may be immediately apprehended and lawfully detained and appropriate proceedings may be instituted under and pursuant to the provisions of the Juvenile Court law, as set forth in the Welfare and Institutions Code of the state.

9.16.050 - Responsibility of parent.¶
No parent, guardian, or other adult person having the lawful custody, permanent or temporary, of any minor person shall suffer, permit, or let, either willfully or negligently, such minor to violate the provisions of Section 9.16.010 or 9.16.020.
