17.26.010 - Short title.¶
This chapter may be cited as the "Kern County Existing Building Code."

17.26.020 - California Existing Building Code—Adopted.¶
California Code of Regulations, Title 24, Part 10 being that portion of the 2025 Edition of the California Building Standards Code, including Appendix Chapter A1, as modified and amended by this chapter, is adopted by this reference into the Kern County Existing Building Code. Additions and modifications to the California Building Standards Code are made by reference to the appropriate section of the California Existing Building Code.

17.26.030 - California Existing Building Code—Provisions not adopted.¶
The following provisions of the California Existing Building Code are not adopted as part of this chapter and shall not apply thereto:
A. Section 103 Code Compliance Agency
B. Section 104.2.4.1 Flood Hazard Areas

17.26.040 - Flood Hazard—General references.¶
Sections 104.3.1, 405.2.6, 502.2 and 503.2, are amended as follows:
The reference to sections 1612, 1612.2 and 1612.3 shall be replaced with "Chapter 17.48 of the ordinance."
