Hemet Municipal Code Art. XIV Emergency Housing

The 2019 California Building Code, Appendix O, and the 2019 California Residential Code, Appendix X, as such codes may be amended from time to time, are hereby adopted together with certain amendments, deletions, additions, and exceptions.

Section O101, General, is deleted in its entirety from the California Building Code, Appendix O, and replaced to read as follows:

Title. These regulations shall be known as the Emergency Housing Standards of City of Hemet, hereinafter "Emergency Housing Standards."

101.1 Scope. The provisions of this chapter shall apply only to those emergency shelters identified in section 90-303.5 of the Hemet Municipal Code and shall only be effective for the duration of a shelter crisis, as declared by the City Council of the City of Hemet pursuant to Government Code § 8698.2.

Upon the expiration of the City's shelter crisis declaration, or the repeal or expiration of this ordinance, these Emergency Housing Standards shall terminate.

Section AX101, General, is deleted in its entirety from the California Residential Code, Appendix X, and replaced to read as follows:

Title. These regulations shall be known as the Emergency Housing Standards of City of Hemet, hereinafter "Emergency Housing Standards."
