§ 3.08.010. Procedure established—Authority.¶
Pursuant to the authority contained in Section 935 of the Government Code, the city establishes the claims procedure set forth in this chapter for those claims against the city for money or damages not now governed by state law.

§ 3.08.020. Filing—Procedure and time limits.¶
A. Notwithstanding the exception contained in Section 905 (C) of the Government Code of the state, all claims of public officers and employees for fees, salaries, wages, overtime pay, holiday pay, compensating time off, vacation pay, sick leave pay, and other expenses and allowances claimed due from the city shall be presented within the time of limitations and in the manner prescribed by Sections 910 through 915.2 of said Government Code, and such claims shall further be subject to the provisions of Section 945.4 of said Government Code.
B. In addition to the requirements of subsection A of this section and notwithstanding the exemptions set forth in said Section 905(C) of the Government Code of the state, all claims against the city for damages or money, when a procedure for processing such claims is not otherwise provided by state law, shall be presented within the time limitations and in the manner prescribed by Sections 910 through 915.2 of said Government Code, and such claims shall further be subject to the provisions of Section 945.4 of said Government Code.
