Chapter 18.34 — C-S, COMMERCIAL SERVICE DISTRICT

§ 18.34.010. Purpose of district.

The purpose of the C-S district is to accommodate business-related services, businesses that require larger buildings or outdoor storage areas, limited fabrication of merchandise sold on the premises, or farmrelated businesses.

§ 18.34.020. Permitted uses.

Uses permitted in the C-S zone include:

  1. Advertising and related services;

  2. Auto repair and related services;

  3. Building and landscape maintenance;

  4. Carwash;

  5. Contractor's yard;

  6. Delivery and private postal services;

  7. Equipment rental;

  8. Feed stores, farm supply stores;

  9. Laundries;

  10. Photocopy services;

  11. Photofinishing, blueprinting;

  12. Printing and publishing services;

  13. Repair services;

  14. Retail sale of auto parts, tires and batteries;

  15. Retail sale of autos, boats, mobile homes;

  16. Retail sale of building and landscape materials;

  17. Retail sale of furniture and appliances;

  18. Service stations;

  19. Warehousing/wholesaling, ministorage, moving companies. (Ord. 93-324 §1)

§ 18.34.030. Conditional uses.

Uses permitted subject to obtaining a conditional use permit, including:

  1. Animal grooming;

  2. Athletic and health clubs;

  3. Barbers, hairstylists;

  4. Bowling alleys;

  5. Gas distributors (butane, oxygen, etc.);

  6. Homeless shelters;

  7. Veterinarians.

§ 18.34.040. Temporary uses.

The following temporary uses are permitted in this zone district upon approval of an administrative use permit (AUP) per Section 18.72.230 :

  1. Circus, carnivals and special events.

  2. Fairs.

  3. Farmer's markets.

  4. Car/truck shows.

  5. Commercial sporting events.

  6. Any other uses similar in nature as determined by the Planning Director. (Ord. 2024-521, 11/26/2024)
